Today we put up our Christmas tree, I helped dad fix up all of the broken lights and then I put the lights on. Me and Deborah had a big argument over what kind of Christmas music should be played - she wanted N'Stink and their Christmas stuff and I wanted Michael W Smith's Christmas album on. Eventually, Deborah left in a huff and put up the small tree in the playroom, so I got to put on Michael W Smith's album ^_^ After putting the lights on I set up a small Christmas tree at the window in my room and put lights on the window. So now my house is all Christmassy! Woo! 28 days? 24? (Any minute now Lynsey is going to correct me on that) Ah well, the run up to Christmas is better than Christmas day itself - minus the presents.
Yesterday me and Lynsey found out that we (along with Charlene...) would be doing the Class' Oral Presentation to the GCSE lady next Thursday, 2 of us will actually be doing it on the day but 1 of us is just a fill-in, unfortunatly, we don't know which one of us is a fill-in. So all next week will be rehersing for it - we have to play out a scene with Frair Lawrence from Romeo and Juliet and Lord Capulet.
(I'm gonna have to keep this next part short becuase any moment now I'm going to have to go out to a meeting in my church)
Knockbreda is going downhill. Firstly, some kid gets stabbed in the back with a seringe. Secondly, everyone now seems to smoke. Thirdly, the attitude of half of the pupils is getting really annoying. Forthly, your belongings are no longer safe - on Monday Skoot's copy of San Andreas was stolen from my bag (so we're collecting money to get him a new copy, how nice of us is that?) and Richard's English folder was stolen. And Fifly people are turning up drunk and stoned to class (yes, thats right, I mean YOU Craig Apsley!) Its like Hell has opened up and poured into Knocbreda. Its like fecking Buffy the Vampire Slayer (for those of you who don't know, in Buffy the High School is built on a gate to Hell)

So one minute I'm in guitar club, noodling Silent Night and the next minute I'm lead guitarist for an instrumental piece of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" at the School's Christmas concert.
EL OH CRAP-O!
I didn't even know how to play God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen until I got home from School today and I've been praticing it so much that I'm getting sick of it already. Thankfully I'll have 2 back up guitarists - some first year and Mr. Pervis and one Bassist - Sam! So I'm guessing that we're going to practice every day after school and then during class when it gets closer to the dress rehersal (it's happened everyother year!)

mood: sick... but good... music: Dream Theater - Under A Glass Moon

Well, this sucks.
I hoped that I'd be alright this morning and that I'd finnally got better, too bad, though, I ended up being sent home from school today feeling really bad, as bad as I was when I first started getting sick. I think it might have something to do with eating in the morning, 'cause when I woke up this morning I was fine, it was only after eating Breakfast (which I haven't ate since I first got sick) that I started feeling sick.
I went into form period this morning and the first thing that Mrs. Scott said to me was "You're not well today, are you?" so I said that I wasn't. She said to go out and get some fresh air, so I did but all that did for me was make me feezing cold. After form period she kept me back and we talked about what was wrong with me and she said that I should go my next period class and to come to her after. Sitting in English sucked because I felt soo bad and on top of things Glen and Michael made some comments on my leather jacket (dumbass spides!) So I went down to Mrs. Scott afterwards and she sent me to the office and they called mum. Mum wasn't happy at all, mostly because I'm only really bad on School days so we argued a bit on the way home. As soon as I got home I went to sleep and woke up feeling alot better, I went down and watched a bit of "I'm a Celebrity" and then went up for a really nice, hot, bath.
That brings me to now. I'm actually in a pretty good mood right now because I'm feeling a lot better - I just hope that I'm still feeling better tommorow morning 'cause nowdays school isn't all that bad! AND I need my edu-mick-ation so I can actually get my apprenticship.
Anyway, thats me for another day. (I swear LJ is getting addictive!)

mood: Christmassy! music: John Williams - Across the Stars

Since Thursday I've been in a really Christmassy mood! All thanks to singing "Let It Snow" with Richard in Form Period! The weather is getting terrible, its always overcast and cold and it has snowed too! It so great being in a nice warm room (or classroom) looking out at the terrible weather thinking about Christmas! Mum went around and found all of our Christmas CDs so I'm gonna be listening to them on the way to school tommorow morning. On the 4th we're gonna be putting up our tree and decorations and for the first time EVA I'm putting lights on my window and getting a mini-Christmas Tree to put somewhere! I suppose that I'm really excited about Christmas this year because I'm finally at peace with everyone (...except Ryan, but he does have his moments) I gots the best friends in the world and well, I'm just in a good mood all the time! (Despite being sick in the mornings, but, fingers-crossed, I should be fine in the morning!)
So now it's time for Kylie's Christmas list!

It's offical. I have the worst luck with ordering off the internet.
So I come out of school and dad is there to pick me up, I get in the car and he hands me this piece of paper. My copy of Halo 2 had been delievered today BUT the doorbell didn't go when the post man rung it so no one came to the door to sign for it. That means that MY copy of Halo 2 is currently at the Royal Mail's depot! It'll take up to 48 hours until I can come and pick it up!

Other than that today was pretty good but during History I had to listen to Ryan bitch about me. Another day in the life of me. |

So on Saturday I went down to William's house. He got Halo 2 so we played it for a bit then while he was playing Single Player I went through all the instructions that he got with Halo and it turned out you got 2 free months with Xbox Live so (since I have Xbox Live but no subscription) we headed up to my house and got it set up. We must've played that game from about 12 to 7 on Saturday. It's sooo good! William got all these cool people on Halo who were really into the game. Some guy pulled up in the Dune Buggy and called to Will to get in the gunner's seat, so Will jumped in and some guy who had the bomb to blow up the enemy's base jumped in the passenger side. They drove into the heart of the enemy base, Will shooting down anyone who tried to stop them and the driver driving over the little wannabe warriors. They came to a skidding stop outside the enemy base and moved in in-formation. Will and the driver cleared out the base while the bomber blew the place to smitherines! Its sooo amazing online! Its like actually being in a war-zone except in the future with cool spaceships (THAT YOU GET TO FLY AND DO SOMERSAULTS IN!!) and the ability to burst into enemy bases with two machine guns, one in each hand and blow the crap out of eveyrone! I LOVE HALO 2! I dont have my copy of the game YET but I'll have it HOPEFULLY by Friday, dad ordered it for me yesterday.
GET HALO 2 SKOOT! And and get Xbox Live too! |

Finally - after a lot of bitching from Skoot, I've updated!
The past 5 weeks have been hell. I've never gotten better from being sick, every morning when I get up I need to take a dump for about 20 minutes and I can't eat anything AND I feel like throwing up! Not nice at all! I've also lost nearly a stone of weight and I dont have any weight to lose! On Thursday last week I woke up feeling worse than I have felt yet and dad took me to the Hospital where they took blood tests and all this bunch of other stuffs, I was there for about 4 hours and when I got him I slept for like another 5 hours, when I woke up I was fine again.
So other than that I guess things are going pretty good. Christmas is just around the corner, Im stuck into Knights of the Old Republic and a book by James Herbert called Fluke and school hasn't been all that tough. Gotta love small mercies.

The other night I started to write another Short Story, its not finished but I want feedback so please read the prolouge and first paragraph of Part One.
Around this time last year I wrote about 9 Stories, some were okay but others were plain crap, this one I think falls under the "Ok" catagory but I'll leave that up to you, so plz read and review.
And Skoot, if you're going to comment on it, make it worth my time reading ^_^.

Prologue
Eire music drifted lazily from the expertly handcrafted musical jewellery box.
May I ask if I have caught your attention yet? My tutor once told me that I should catch the reader's attention on the first line should I wish to keep them captivated for the duration of the story. I have always preferred to write short, abrupt and obscure sentences to get the attention of whomever, or as the case may be, whatever reads this. Oh, I am sorry, I have been rambling. I shall continue with the story.
I am writing this piece of literature to attempt to make sense of what happened that fateful autumn, the tale that I am about to tell you is entirely true, albeit difficult to understand. I have tried many times to explain these events to people of high stature, many of them mocked me and recommended I publish a book - and so I have done, not to entertain, but to explain.
The story begins on the eve of December the 24th, 1855?
Part One
When I was much younger I would have been excited that it was Christmas Eve. However, since my mother's death 3 years previous, Christmas had become a saddening time. My father continued to decorate the Christmas Tree and buy presents, mostly because of my young sisters, Eleanor (or 'Elly' as she was called by those who love her) who was five years old and Susanna who was thirteen years old. At the time of this story I was eighteen years old.

Meh, I was sicky bad this morning and had to get sent home from school. (Skoot doesn't believe that I was actually sick, though.) When I got back I lay in bed and watched Dream Theater - Metroplis 2000: Scenes from New York, their live DVD from 2001. After the DVD was over I read a bit, slept a bit and then watched a few epsiodes of Angel. Feeling better, I got up and got changed and sat playing the guitar for a while and working on a few riffs and one solo, I should really start a band but I don't know anyone who can sing, I dont know any drummers, I dont know any keyboardists that would be interested in a metal band. I do know a bassist though but I doubt Sam would leave his band.
After working on the guitar a bit Mum came up and told me that Dad had said that it was okay for me to order the new Dream Theater DVD and that I didn't have to pay for it so now I'm really really happy! ^_^
So here I am, sitting downloading an album by The Black Mages, a band that plays Heavy-Metal versions of songs from Final Fantasy and the guy who composed the Final Fantasy music is actually in the band.

mood: reflective music: Dream Theater - Raise The Knife
|
This month has flown in!
So I've started Physiotheorpy and I have to wear these plaster things on my back that keep it straight. School's been okay - doing lots and lots of work that make the days fly in - the only real problem I have is that we've had science for over 20 periods since school started and the teacher has only taken us for 4 of those periods! Thats only 2 hours! We didn't even learn anything then! Now all we do is write stuff from a book while some Anne Robinsion looka-soundalike gives off and tells us how worried she is for us because we "don't listen" and if we fail its "our fault"
So Skoot, Lynsey, Jamison and Ruiseal were off yesterday because of the tour of Belfast so today I spent most subjects alone and I spent my break and lunch with the addicts. Guitar club was supposed to start today but when I came in Mr P told me that a meeting had been called for all of the year 8 form teachers he said that if I wanted to I could teach anyone who shows up, so I did. Jonny, Sam and a 3rd year called Maddy came so I tried to teach them the C Major scale but the lesson turned into me sitting playing while Sam and Jonny and Maddy either watched to tried to do what I was doing.
So what else has been going on? *thinks*
Well, last night I went along to a Church meeting for kids/teenagers in the Tullycarnet Area (its a recipe for disaster!) the kids wouldn't sit down, shut up or listen. No matter how hard any of the leaders tried. (the kids were all spides. Shock) So I turned around in my chair and looked directly at the girl who was stirring up all of the trouble. I just looked at her kind of darkley and she looked back at me and then said to her friends; "We'd better shut up! That (5ft 9) wee boy is looking at us as if there's something wrong with us! Like we're im...im...immature! Liek!" I said to her "Trust me, you're beyond immature, this is a Church, y'know, that place that is reserved for the worship of God." From then on they actually sat up and listened, in fact at the very end, one of them went over to Cheyrl (my Bible Class teacher and the nicest woman you'll ever meet) and said "My friend wants to know if you can get her saved*" So that was very, very, very, very good, for those who don't know much about Chrisitans, getting "saved" is when you pray to God to ask for forgiveness and you ask God to save you from Hell - its basically the act of becoming a Christian.
So... I think that that is all thats interesting thats happened recently... well I'm off to beds.
